What is the number behind the counter?

Published 2026 figures form the starting point. Seasonal projections fill the remaining months.

Start with published 2026 data

The counter includes published national-accounts estimates for January–June 2026. It adds income taxes, social insurance contributions, taxes on production and taxes on products. Transfers between governments are not added to tax revenue.

Estimate only the missing periods

For each category, we apply its average annual growth over 2023–2025 to the same quarter of 2025. Published 2026 quarters replace projections. The current quarter advances gradually; actual collections are not observed second by second.

How provinces are compared

We allocate the national estimate using each category’s geographic shares from Statistics Canada’s 2024 regional accounts. These are modelled 2026 allocations, not observed regional collections. The methodology on the homepage links both source tables and explains this limitation.
